Vocational training school for the disabled (VTSD)

The NAWPH has been organizing this Vocational Training School for the Disabled, a sustainable rehabilitative project within the premises of its central office at Amravati. A total No. of 60 inmates (recognized) with Loco-motor Disabilities and Hearing Impaired have been undergoing the vocational training in Six trades viz. 1) Certificate Course in Carpentry (For Handicapped), 2) Certificate Course in Tailoring & Cutting, 3) Certificate Course in Basic Welding (For Handicapped) and 4) Certificate Course in LERS (Licentiate in Electronics & Radio Servicing), 5) Certificate Course in DTP Operator (For the Deaf) and 6) Certificate Course in Basic Computer (For the Blind).

The aforesaid six courses are recognized by the Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education Examination (MSBVEE), Mumbai and financially supported by the Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra.
A total No. of 15 teaching & non-teaching staff has been working very devotedly for the project. The students are provided with abundant practical exposures to attain their professional and rehabilitative goals. The VTSD has observed all the National, Cultural & Educational Ceremonies with due ritualistic manner. During the year all of our students have achieved better academic success in their respective courses.

During last three decades this Institution has been putting its best efforts to bring the students to the mainstream of social race and live a worthy economic life.
